I bought the box set even though I already owned the individual books for the bonus material and it was so worth it.
I swear, these two might be my favorite all time couple. I just loved this series. This could be my "Perfect Read"

I think this is right between 3.5 and 4 stars. I ended up reading this box set because I finished Owned and was so happy that it didn't end like the normal stories in this dark erotica genre do, that I had to see what the author was going to do with the rest of the story. I indicated in my review for Owned that I felt like this was more of a romance story than anything else and the remainder of the series felt even more like a romance.
I really enjoyed how Kayne and Ellie's relationship moved along and I thought there was very realistic reactions and actions by the characters based on how they had been set up in the first book, and given what both of them had gone through.
The second book did end up with more of the story line I was anticipating in the first one but, ALAS! No cliffhanger! HOORAY, WAHOO, WOOHOO! That happens so rarely now.
I would recommend this series to romance fans who don't mind BDSM elements and some more heavy BDSM themes in their stories.

Since we were introduced to the BDSM world through FSOG, I have read some fantastic books and some dire ones.
I am afraid this one is in the latter, It was released in 2014, I should have left it in that year and there are 4 more books to follow this one, which I will be avoiding.
There was nothing I liked about this book at all, I have seen other reviews with 5 stars, not sure what they were reading but it can’t have been the same book as me.
I have nothing against BDSM, infact some of the hottest books out there have this element to it, as I have had nothing to do with that in my personal life I really can’t comment further, all though I do have a friend who has been a Sub all her life, I also understand the need but that’s getting away from this book.
The Main characters are as follows Kayne, Jett, and Ellie. Supporting characters: Javier and Mark.
Ellie worksfor Mark. Kayne is Marks client. Ellie is attracted to Kayne. Ellie wants Kayne to notice her. Javier is a customer of Kayne’s. Kayne owns and operates a whore house. Jett is the keeper of the slaves in the house. that’s the prelude to the book are you following
This is written in alternating POV’s. which I do love . Kayne wants Ellie to submit to him. Kayne cages her, collars her, and leashes her. The story is very sexually driven. It was a Dom/sub story where Kayne trained Ellie to become his sex slave/kitten.
Ellie quickly realizes she is infact Kayne’s captive and he is forcing her to do things with him that she once obsessed over and now HATES !!!
Ellie TRULY STRUGGLES with Kayne’s form of obedience and referring to her as kitten. Ellie battles with the spankings and nudity by being disobedient which garnered more punishment. It was an obvious a difficult dilemma for Ellie considering she once dressed provocatively to seduce Kayne of her own free will.
The major problem I have had with this book is how Kayne claimed he had to train Ellie before Javier got a hold of her. The back story for how Kayne came into BDSM was a pure stretch of imagination . The training became so tiresome to read. The entire process of breaking Ellie down was uncomfortable. I nearly put it down twice, I love a good erotic read but not when it’s mixed very clearly with abuse and punishment then it’s not desirable. It is horrific, and in all honesty why the BDSM community straddle a fine line, I have asked my friends Dom who is her husband as well if it’s like this in this book as it is in real life and his answer was no, infact if any type of abuse is used you are banned for life from any place where the BDSM community are.
I didn’t want Ellie to become broken-down with pleasure by enduring pain. I prefer reading about consensual sex with fun kink that both participants enjoy. Or other wise it then steps into the DARK THEMED ROMANCE which is a completely different genre ,Sure a little encouragement to try new toys and techniques are fine but it didn’t need the demeaning of Ellie as an individual by humiliating her and then treating her like a pet. Kanye complimented Ellie with “good girl” for a climax she could have achieved regardless of the methods he used.
This angered me. I have a problem with this statement of a kept woman, giving all the power to this man who had not earned it. He threatened and bullied until he got his way how is that consensual .This form of sex became addicting for Kayne and he created an addict out of Ellie. I have read many books since FSOG came out but this one, I disliked intensely it is not ok to abuse someone until they become what you want and to have it glorified in a book is not clever.
I have many more opinions about this book but I won’t go on everyone has there own tastes I understand that but not at the expense of my self respect. I will say most of the story was sexual and about a third of a story line with the few chapters dedicated to the sought out reasons for why Kayne took Ellie to begin with. This is a series and with everything that he did to Ellie, I truly don’t have it in me to get the next book or actually care if she forgives Kayne. In my opinion what he did was unforgivable and once trust like that has been broken between a DOM and his Sub it can never be repaired. This book was no different from all the other Dom/sub or Master/slave story’s I’ve read, except for one aspect the abuse. That’s not love that is horrific. and when you read a book as bad as this it puts me of reading any more. I find these books difficult to pick up, because if it turns out like this one nothing but abuse. Then I have wasted my money and time.
FSOG opened the flood gates I have read all the books involved they were good but they were not GREAT,, bu what it did do was open up the flood gates for the Erotic side of women’s fiction to explode onto the market, and for that I am truly Grateful. but This book I have to give it the thumbs down.

This was a series I couldn't put down...I read it all in one weekend and I JUST COULDN"T STOP. Now you have to understand...I read all kinds of books, everything from YA to Erotica. But I am especially fond of erotica....good, dirty erotica....erotica with plot and romance and hot kinky sex and erotica that pushes boundaries with characters I love. And believe me when I tell you...finding books like that is no easy task. So that might explain why I couldn't put these books down. They were so good from beginning to end. THIS is the erotica other erotica wishes it could be !!!M. Never knows what she's doing. I loved every one of these characters, even when they were doing questionable things, even when they were making me mad and especially when they were being very VERY dirty. Kayne is hot and kinky and oddly protective and everything I want in a male lead. And Ellie is amazing...how the author manages to write a strong as hell female lead in a book about submission is brilliant and it makes this one of the best series I've read. And EVERYTHING I want to happen in a great erotic novel....happens here. No punches are pulled, no lines are left uncrossed, no kink is left ummmm....unkinked?!?!?
And the plot is great. There is an actual story here...a damn good story. It's interesting and surprising and perfectly interwoven with the sex and the romance. I was as enthralled with the plot as I was with the everything else. This book has everything....and it has everything done right!!!
My only complaint.....I want more....I don't want it to be over!! I want MORE Kayne...I want MORE Ellie...I want ALOT MORE Jett!!! I will read these over and over and then I will probably read them again. Ask me in 5 years....I will probably STILL be reading these books.

An extremely sexy love story that's just as sweet as the cupcakes Kayne and Ellie like so much. Now, when I say sweet I mean sexy-sweet.
M. Never is a writing force to be reckoned with. It's not easy to bring readers a dark and twisted story that is highly erotic, intense, graphic and yet heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time.

Dark romantic story but so worth the read.
I read the books a few months ago. I bought an e reader saw the set was available and re read the entire series. It's better the second and third time around.
I must warn anyone interested it is dark a few times head the author's warning but if you dare, it is a great series!
The first book will have you running thru all sorts of emotions. You'll be mad, laugh, happy, and feel sorry for the main characters.
The supporting character of Jett brings the perfect relief.
The second book explores the possible relationship and the third answers all of the questions that are raised.
I highly recommended this series. I can't wait for the author's next book.

You will enjoy this if you enjoy a dark read, something along the lines of Consequenes series or The Dark Duet series. A woman is kidnapped into a world of slavery, so this isn't your hearts and romance kind of story. Be warned. BUT, if you enjoy something different, like mixing your romance with a bit of a thriller and some mystery, then this story is something you will enjoy. This is the 3 book series and I'm looking forward to reading other works by M. Never and more about the other characters we meet here.

A Must Read!!!!!
OMG I love this series, Kayne and Ellie's story is one that you don't want to miss. I fell in love with Ellie in Owned and Not so much for Kayne but by the time I got to Claimed I was Team Kayne all the way. I love M. Never and her imagination. This story & the sex was off the charts HOT. I am just glad they are all out so you don't have to wait for the next one to come out. I am excited to see what she does next.

Started out VERY rough, but ended strong!
I had a ton of conflicting feelings about this series when I started it. I’m huge on consent and “dark romance” books with full on r@pe under the guise of some kind of implied consent really pisses me off & I feel like those stories exacerbate the belief that the victim really “wanted it” deep down.
While consent was still *not* freely given due to the circumstances, I can at least appreciate that Kayne at least asked rather than completely disregarding Ellie’s autonomy in that respect. (Like I said, it’s still not true consent because she was literally trapped, but given the overall circumstances and big picture, I think the author handled the situation relatively well.)
I’m glad that this series was all included in the box set because in order to fully understand the story & it’s many layers, you really have to read all 5 books.
There were DEFINITELY quite a few triggers in this series. Obviously, most of them are related to secks work & working for questionable employers, but there are a few very graphic scenes involving **brutal** r@pe, beatings, GSWs, abduction, graphic physical violence, extreme physical & emotional abuse, etc. There were also a few places where I was shocked & extremely disappointed at how overtly racist the wording was.
All that said, the character & story development was actually pretty impressive!

This review is ONLY for book 5 in the series, "Elicit". 1 star.
With all of the 5-star ratings on Amazon, I'm obviously the polar opposite. And that's ok. We each have our own opinions regarding our perceptions.
I never felt Jett had any affection for London other than what was given for his own pleasure. He praised her beauty and exceptional skills in the bedroom but never acknowledged her as anything other than a toy for his amusement.
If he truly "cared" for her, how could he pimp her out Going to the extent of escalating her position as an "Elite" sex toy in order to garner him more money? He refers to her as a "good girl" to his clients, saying she is accomplished in pleasing and doing as told when with a client.
Again, if there was any measure of emotional attachment, why would Jett demand she withholds her release while with a client and save it for later when she'd be with him? At that time she'd be able to bring another female with her so he could delight both London and the other woman. Seriously?? What a p*g.
He didn't appear to mind sharing with other men at all. After all, more sharing increased his net worth, right? Plus, somehow during all this, he believed he was providing mental and emotional pleasure to London. What the funky frack...??

3-4 disappointed no apology
Overall they are good books with lots of twist and turns. I’m not squeamish when it comes to triggers but come on. Not once did Kayne get that he violated her. Beat her. Not in a fun spanking way. And as great as Jett was , shame on him for never apologizing to Ellie for his part. He completely justified everything, as if there were no other options than their extreme choice. And the way that he held being friends with Ellie or staying in touch with her hostage was sad and disrespectful. It was always, well you may never see me again unless you forgive Kayne. She should have told him to F off. He owed her a sincere apology. I’m for forgiveness but you have to really understand what you did and own it. There is nothing wrong with submission or the play they did or Ellie liking aspects of it. But it is a vastly different thing to offer submission by choice and it being beaten into you and sleep, warmth and food being withheld until you get naked to be humiliated and forced into sex. Oh yes and repeatedly beaten until you give in. So please don’t confuse submitting and bdsm with what this was. Violation, no respect and rape.

I love the writing style of M.Never, her books pull you in and keep you captivated until the very last page. Kayne and Ellie's story is no different. While many may find the subject matter a little taboo, the author's writing style makes the story flow and you are quickly swept up into these characters. There is always a twist in the plot and she never fails to amaze me. M.Never is definitely a one-click author for me, no questions asked.
This book should be read after you have read Owned first. This is the conclusion to Kayne and Ellie's story. Once again, M.Never doesn't let you down with this enthralling story. In this book, some of the characters back stories are revealed and you may change your mind on how you feel about Kayne from Owned. I don't want to say too much other than you will not be disappointed.

If I could rate the Decadence After Dark series higher than 5 stars I would do it! It was a perfect slightly dark and romantic read. M Never tore into my heart but put it back together with all the couples in the collection. Legit cried a little when I was done reading the collection because I realized I had finished and wouldn't get the "first time" reading experience anymore. The Decadence After Dark series is now in my Top 5 most loved series!

My favorite!
“Owned” was the first romance book I ever enjoyed. The ones before were way too boring. I think I have read this series three times now. Of course Kanye is my favorite, but all of the men and women in this series leave an impression.

Wow......what an amazing box set!!!!! I read this within 36 hours as I couldn’t put it down once I started, Kanye, Jett, CJ (juice) are extremely 🥵 alpha’s that now exactly what their doing 😉 and then Ellie (cupcake), London (sugar) and Tara are all strong women on the inside just waiting for these hot as f men to come into their lives. I almost think there are not enough words to describe this series. If you like a lot of action, sexy, some BSDM, kidnapping, this is your book. Between Kayne, Ellie, Jett, London, CJ and Tara they have everything and a few of them come from nothing. This book is action packed and a great story line. You will enjoy this series.

I read these 3 individually - Owned, Claimed and Ruined. They were my introduction to this author and they made me greedy for anything else by this author. They each hold their own separately and each book got better. The common thread in her characters are the intense attraction and hot chemistry between them.

A Definite Read!
Full of surprises! Reading along and Wam something happens. I'm like I sure didn't see that coming! Had that happen quite often! Full of love, surprises, tears, shocks, laughter, etc. Plenty of Dark Suspense!! This author made you feel like you were right there!!!
