Trust. It can take a lifetime to build, and be shattered in an instant.

My trust in men had been shattered. The walls surrounding my heart were reinforced with steel so thick it was impenetrable.

And, then he came along.

Zeke Stewart.
My worst nightmare.
The answer to my prayers.

Vienna leaves her scumbag ex and heads to her aunts, when she finds photos of children in his bedroom. After he finds out she called the police on him, he subjects her to a severe beating, which lands her in hospital... Two years later she's happy, running her sick aunts bar... In walks the sinfully sex, hot hunk of a man, Zeke... Their road is paved with all sorts of obstacles, can they get past them?? I enjoyed this thoroughly and couldn't put it down.. There's also a bonus novella at the end, for Ava and Jeremy, that pulls at your heartstrings and makes you all warm and fuzzy inside lol :)

This is the first of Kasey's Down Under Cowboy books that I've read, I've read Kasey's book 'Vengeance is Mine' so I was wondering how different her Cowboy series was. MAN I LOVED IT!! Rogue Cowboy is book 5 in the "Down Under Cowboy" series & although you can read it as a stand alone, there are characters from the previous books that if read would make this book so much better (my mistake, I do have the first 4 books, but wanted to dive right in). So if you haven't read books 1 to 4, do so before entering.

The charisma of Zeke just exhudes from the book, he's thoughtful, caring, gentle & covered in ink. Whereas Sienna has so many cages around herself, which is understandable... but Zeke slowly breaks them apart & gets inside. When he does the relationship between Zeke & Sienna is powerful & fast.

I loved how Kasey weaved the story between anger & heartache, to joy & love. Amazing joy Kasey, I knew I'd love they Cowboy series just as much as VIM... I have books 1 to 4 awaiting the first possible chance I have of reading them.

Cowboy Struggles: Kasey gave us a special few chapters of Jeremy & Ava, following their ups & downs of trying to fall pregnant. This brought tears to my eyes, from the pain, to the love a couple has to have to go through the emtional f#@* that is fertility treatments & IVF. As a fellow IVF patient it's never easy & I felt extra emtional having to remember the hard times I had.

Kasey Millstead has a real knack of capturing the reader and have them backing the characters throughout the whole book. She brings a book to life with the emotion, angst, heartbreak and situations that faces them. I have loved every book that she has written and this is when where a struggle from a character is turned into something so heartwarming and it is great to read.

We first met Zeke and Sienna in the last book, but only got a brief glimpse into their lives. Sienna has had a tragic past and is trying to move on with her life, the last thing on her mind is love or finding a man. Until Zeke storms into her life. He's the one thing she knows she shouldn't have, yet she is drawn to him like nothing else. She is scared of getting hurt again so keeps pushing him away. But he's not ready to give up yet. Could he be the one she has been waiting for?

I loved Zeke, he is relentless in his pursuit for Sienna. He knows what he wants and he isn't going to give in. He's a great male lead. Tatted up, a gentleman, sweet, yet just has that little touch of badness that you cant help but love. He was Sienna's rock and really brought her out of her shell, The transformation from both individuals is not excessive but easily seen and apparent throughout the book.

This is another great read from Kasey Millstead and is not without its angst and shock moments. Trouble is always around the corner. Will Sienna and Zeke make it through their past and have their happily every after?

I also loved Ava and Jeremys novella at the end. It was so sweet to read and great to re immerse yourself in their lives. Both are struggling with getting their final piece of happily ever and are ready to give up. Can they get that final little piece to make it perfect?

I love this series and love catching up with previous characters in each book. Rogue Cowboy is Zeke and Sienna's story. Sienna is trying to keep Zeke at arms length and he is finally sick of this and gonna get his girl. Great story.

An added bonus is the last 25% or so of the book is the novella Cowboy Struggles which has us readers returning to Ava & Jeremy's life after their marriage which was fantastic.

I love this series and really enjoyed getting to know Sienna & Zeke as well as catching up on Ava & Jeremy's life.
Rogue Cowboy - Sienna denied herself happiness for years after what happened in her previous relationship but eventually Zeke gets the better of her. Zeke was a man of few words but when it comes to Sienna he tells it like it is.
Cowboy Struggle - For Ava and Jeremy they have the love, they got married all they want now is the baby for a carriage. Of course they have Oscar but nothing can compare to having a child of your own. Cowboy Struggle takes you on the journey through everything that comes with not being able to fall pregnant naturally. The heartache, the hopelessness and the joy I felt it all.
Bring on the next book. :)

Zeke and Sienna's story is beautiful. The pure love and determination Zeke has for Sie is perfect! His sexy, tatted, alpha male self is something any woman would drool over. He is determined to make Sienna see how much he wants too take care of her and protect her. A definite 5 star read!!!

Well Zeke and Sienna were just as amazing as the books that came before them. Having their own ups and downs but getting there in the end was amazing to read. And Ava and Jeremy’s epilogue at the end was such a lovely surprise.

Rogue Cowboy (Down Under Cowboys #5)
Cowboy Struggles – Ava & Jeremy novella
    By: Kasey Millstead
    4/5 stars

    Rogue Cowboy:
Zeke Stewart is Luke’s (H from book 4) brother and has returned home to help him in the tattoo shop. For the last 2 years he’s been trying to catch Sienna’s attention and she just isn’t biting. He’s decided that it’s time to either up his game or move on from Sienna.

Sienna is Dory’s (owner of Cow Calf pub) aunt. After leaving her abusive, sicko boyfriend, she moves to Pine Creek to help her aunt at the bar. She’s of the mindset “once bitten twice shy” and doesn’t know if she’ll ever be able to trust another man again. But she is attracted to Zeke and denying herself is getting harder and harder to do.

Zeke is determined to show Sienna and prove to her that he intends to be around, that she can trust him and that she is his. Sienna still tries to keep him at arms-length, but after one kiss & lusty feelings (not to mention her X-rated dreams!) she is more than ready to give into him.

The one thing that was a drawback for this story was the accelerated pace of the last 10% or more. I would have liked more than just a couple paragraphs, skip a few months, another couple paragraphs, and skip even more months, then big life event, skip more months & big life event, the end. I just wish that there would have been more story & elaboration.

    Cowboy Struggles:
Jeremy & Ava (H/h from book 2) have struggled for years to have a baby together. The struggle wears on Ava, because she knows that her body is the problem since Jeremy already has Oscar and it’s hard on Jeremy because he sees the pain that Ava is in and there’s nothing he can do to heal her, plus dealing with his own hurt.

The years of infertility, while watching all of her friends having babies, has definitely taken a toll on Ava. Though she is happy for her friends when it happens, it still hurts her deep down that she hasn’t been able to conceive yet. With every failure, hope fades a little more. The one thing that I like is that Jeremy & Ava’s struggles don’t adversely affect their relationship, not to say there isn’t any tension, but they don’t fight or divorce.

There is a little snippet at the end that gives a look forward to the next book (and I believe the last book!) which is Kennedy (Ava’s sister) & Kye’s book.
